The International Seminar on Tropical Horticulture 2016 was held in IPB International Convention Center, Bogor, Indonesia 28 – 29 November 2016. It was organized by Center of Excellence for Tropical Horticulture Studies (PKHT), Center of Excellence in University (PUI-PT), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), and supported bythe International Tropical Fruits Network (TFNet).
Twenty eight oral and 31 poster presentations from 5 countries were delivered during the seminar. Papers were divided into three categories: fruits, vegetables and miscellaneous.
TFNet CEO Dr. Desa Hassim presented on “Overview of Global Tropical Fruits Production and Market Information: Issues and Challenges”. He discussed on trends in tropical fruit production, exports and imports, changing food consumption patterns, rising issues and challenges, and TFNet’s programmes.
