The International Tropical Fruits Network (TFNet) further expanded its linkages with like-minded organizations by participating in a workshop South-South Technical Cooperation for Sustainable Rural Development on 20-21 May 2013 in Jakarta, Indonesia, organized by the Center on Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific (CIRDAP).

 

The workshop aimed to build stronger collaborations among CIRDAP Link Institutions (CLIs) and other relevant institutions in Asia and the Pacific, toward scoping and creating opportunities for sharing and learning from each other.

 

CEO Yacob Ahmad presented the the work of TFNet’s activities to the participants.

 

Five other organizations presented during the workshop: 1) Centre for Alleviation of Poverty through Sustainable Agriculture (CAPSA) of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) of the United Nations (UN); 2) Afro-Asian Rural Development Organization (AARDO);  3) National Agricultural Extension and Training Center (NAETC) of Kasetsart University; 4) Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA); and  5) Community Self-Reliance Development Agency (Bina Swadaya).
