The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the International Tropical Fruits Network (TFNet) recently held an introductory session for the project titled ‘Building Responsible Global Value Chains for Sustainable Tropical Fruits’, on 24th May 2021. The event drew a total of 23 participants from organizations involved in the production and marketing of pineapples and avocados around the Asia Pacific region, as well as observers from National Agricultural Research Centers (NARs) from Indonesia, Horticultural (Southern) Fruit Research Center, Vietnam and the Bureau of Plant Industry, Philippines.
