Tropical fruits are produced and exported around the world. They are an essential source of income for thousands of households in producing countries and an important part of food and nutrition security globally. However, the industry faces pressing environmental, economic and social challenges that can only be addressed when all stakeholders collaborate.

The two-day Global Conference organized by the Responsible Fruits Project is an opportunity to strengthen this collaboration. The event will gather producer organizations, processors, exporters, importers, retailers, trade unions, civil society organizations, governments, international organizations, academia and others.

During the conference we will discuss challenges and potential actions on topics related to the sustainability and resilience of avocado and pineapple value chains and the tropical fruit industry.

The conference will also take stock of the activities of the Responsible Fruits Project that has supported more than 200 producers and packers, their organizations and associations, and other businesses seeking to increase the sustainability and resilience of their operations.

The conference will prepare recommendations to continue strengthening tropical fruit value chains.

Save the date and join us to celebrate our collective accomplishments these past years and set a course for the coming years together!

Further details and an agenda will be provided in the coming months. Your suggestions are welcome.
