Nigeria has joined TFNet as a Country member. In the 4th TFNet General Assembly held in Kuala Lumpur on 20 August 2009, Nigeria, represented by Dr. Idowu Ademola Adeseye, Executive Director, Nigerian National Horticultural Research Center, Ibadan received the membership certificate from TFNet Chairman, His Excellency, Dato’ Mokhtar Ismail. Nigeria now joins Malaysia, China, Fiji and Syria as Country members, besides the other 14 Associate and 97 ordinary members. Efforts are now being done to expand membership, especially for tropical fruit growing countries.
